BASSI BUSINESS PARK

The construction site for the refurbishment of the Bassi Business Park complex in Via Ugo Bassi in Milan, close to the new expansion areas of Porta Nuova, Porta Garibaldi and Scalo Farini, has restarted.

Commissioned by Generali Real Estate and realized by Impresa Percassi, the design by OBR responds to the rapid development of the neighbourhood, providing a cluster of nine buildings with a renewed attractiveness and innovative spaces for working.

Characterized by transparency and flexibility, the offices are designed to adapt to different working configurations with areas that promote teamwork, co-working, and smart working, along with more informal spaces for social encounters, such as the break areas and the panoramic terraces on the rooftop.

The design provides several aerial connections among the buildings, creating new pedestrian paths at different levels, thus facilitating internal mobility and orientation.

According to the energy & environmental strategies that vouch for the LEED Gold certification of the cluster, the façades are designed to combine the thermoregulation of the buildings with an explicit visual perception due to the iridescent brise-soleils characterized by a specific sun-responsive chromatic palette.

The large courtyard has been conceived by the landscape studio Openfabric as an “urban forest”, where to spend time outside, fostering exchange and social interaction.

The complex will be developed by lot until 2023.
