Bolzano, 13th September 2018 at 7PM Paolo Brescia talks for Fondazione Architettura Alto Adige at Erlacher Headquarter, engaging the audience on the idea of making architecture as the result of a collective process.
Does Architecture have the power?
Through the narrative of ongoing projects, Paolo Brescia engages with the audience on the idea of making architecture as the result of a collective process, in which building is seen in its essential relationship with dwelling.
But our dwelling should be determined by the way we live, not the opposite.
Therefore, if building deals with dwelling and if dwelling depends on living, then the question is: what power does architecture have in contributing to the lives of the people who live the spaces we build?
The idea which OBR is converging on, is a habitat shared by all the members of a community. By “everyone”, but also by “each one”. How to say that – through architecture – we can contribute to the sense of community, by sharing the same values, while preserving the individual identities.
