The project fits organically into the extraordinary landscape of the Plan of Madonnetta, an highland above the village of Cogoleto facing the Ligurian Sea.
The beauty of the environment and its preservation have suggested a design solution that interacts with the natural elements. The architectural space is generated by a physical modeling of the ground: the green roof is a natural continuation of sports fields and park and the bleachers for the audience are placed in the natural layers of the ground.
The interior space, semi-underground, is characterized by maximum transparency to the sea and the presence of indoor gardens through which the building trades with the outside world.
