  • OBR Paolo Brescia Tommaso Principi Cap Sim Essaouria Morocco

Cap Sim

Cap Sim stands on a windswept stretch of untouched land between the Atlantic Ocean and the desert, 30 km south of Essaouira, Unesco world heritage site.
The concept is based on a new idea of very low density country club.
The philosophy behind the project intends exclusivity as uniqueness of the landscape.
In this context, the architecture is extended toward the expression of site-specific environmental values (the orography, the Argan trees, the sand dunes, the sea, the wind ...).
The functional program is mainly focused on the game of polo and horse riding, including an eco-resort, a clubhouse and a sailing center, seeking a symbiosis between architecture and landscape, so that the synthesis of artificial and natural elements will generate the quality of living and the sense of belonging and future inhabitants.
